New Pilot Briefing for Rookie Pilots
Your first step to a new career....

You've indicated you have the skills necessary to be an airline pilot but you've never had any experience with a virtual airline. By joining Altair Virtual Airlines you will open an exciting new world, filled with great opportunities and experiences. You'll find rewarding friendships with fellow aviators, flights that will challenge your skills and knowledge, and you'll become a part of a community of pilots ready to have fun.

Not sure this is for you? Well we've got two really great articles we'd like to share with you. The first is located at FlightSim.com, entitled "How to Fly for a Virtual Airline". The second article, "My Simulation Story" written by an Altair Virtual Airline pilot (while he was part of another airline), is located at FSINN web site. Maybe after reading these you may want to join us.

The process is simple. Complete the brief application form and submit it. Once your application has been submitted it will be evaluated by our Hiring Committee and you will be advised via email of the next step. Successful applicants will be assigned to the Altair Training facility at Long Beach, California (KLGB) and have the option of undergoing training, under the guidance of the Chief Pilot and Training Director, or if you have the necessary experience you may submit a checkride. There is no obligation other than your commitment to meet the flight requirements of 10 hours every 90 days.

Meanwhile, download the aircraft from our fleet you would like to fly. Pick up a Flight Plan from our flight planning system and you're ready to go. Once you've completed your flight you'll want to log your hours using our pilot flight reporting system. All of your flight hours go towards earning that next promotion.

You're on your way towards a rewarding and exciting virtual airline career. Once you've mastered the knowledge and skills needed to operate our aircraft and various online systems you'll be ready for the ultimate flight simulator experience - online flying.
