New Pilot Briefing for Novice Pilots
Your first step to a new career....

So you're a novice. You know how to start the flight simulator program but that's as far as it goes. Don't worry, we'll help you learn how to fly. If you're serious about learning the skills needed to pilot the big commercial aircraft then we're serious about helping you develop those skills. 

To begin, you'll need to join AVA (become a pilot with Altair Virtual Airlines). When you first join, you will be a Trainee, and you'll have access to people who have been in your shoes. We'll help you find the resources you'll need to learn the basic skills of flying. Then we'll help you learn navigation techniques and finally we'll introduce you to the world of online flying, where it is "as real as it gets".

Now, how will that happen? Once you join, you'll be assigned to our Training Division. Under the watchful eye of our Chief Pilot you'll get an email from him telling you what to do next.  

Our Chief Pilot and Flight Instructors have the knowledge and experience to get you started. They will help you master the basic flying skills found in the flight simulator software. From there we'll help you advance through our pilot training lessons.

Once you've mastered the basic skills, you'll be ready to move on to the next phase of your career - learning to fly as a virtual airline pilot.
