Welcome to Atlanta -- one of Altair Virtual Airlines' busiest passenger hubs.
Located in the southeastern United States, Atlanta (KATL) is the busiest airport in the world, both in passengers and number of flights. Hartsfield serves 269 destinations in 68 countries, no other airport serves more destinations!

The KATL hub is constantly adding to the collection of available flight plans for our pilots, the ultimate goal is to create a flight plan to and from every one of the 269 destinations.

Altair is dedicated to serving the needs of our pilots. We have many resources to enhance your virtual aviation experience. Whether you are a rookie, or a seasoned veteran, Altair can provide you with the tools to make your career with us informative and most of all, FUN!

November 1, 2008: Recommended scenery
The default FS9 scenery for KATL is not very good so there was a reason to look for alternatives.
I can recommend the KATLv2 package you can download from AVSIM:
http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=105737&CatID=fs2004scen

There are other good ones like the one from Smiths design:
http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=96499&CatID=fs2004scen

I like the first mentioned most, but please look at some alternatives and inform me if a much better one is available!

For FSX an update is available for the Smiths design scenery, but the default scenery is pretty decent.
A payware scenery for both FS9 and FSX is available from Imagesim:

Be sure to check the ALTAIR forums to be sure of all the latest happenings and goings on at ALTAIR VA.  Feel free to post your questions and participate in discussions as well.  Involved pilots makes our VA more fun for everyone.
