GATEWAY TO EUROPE
EGCC Manchester is one of only 2 airports in the UK which has parallel active
runways, and capable of taking the largest aircraft in service. It is Europes
11th busiest airport handing 22.4 million passengers in 2005. There are around
100 airlines, flying to 175 destinations, and it can handle 65 movements each
hour. It also handles around 150,000 tons of freight annually, mainly from the
747's of Far East carriers. It is home to a flying school, and light aircraft
can be seen taking off and landing regularly slotting in between the heavies,
regional jets and turboprops.
I am are here to help you to enjoy your Virtual career to the full. Regardless
of whether you are a complete novice or a seasoned Pro we are sure you will find

Despite the many pilots who are particularly active at EGCC....Alan ALT3 who
hosts MP sessions and remains a guiding light....Rob ALT2024 who runs the Flynet
operation...and others who participate in their own way, I have great pleasure
in giving the Pilot of the Year accolade to a man who for almost four years with
Altair has never failed to keep his hours up to date, and quietly, and professionally,
enjoys this hobby, flying along and listening to Bob Dylan.

Multiplayer Sessions Tuesdays at 1900z Multiplayer is a very simple way to fly along with your virtual friends, you
simply connect your flightsim to our dedicated site, via your standard drop down
menu....once connected you can see and fly along with the other players....amazing
but true! You can communicate by text window, or by voice, although this requires
Teamspeak, a free easy to use download, and of course you will need a microphone
or headset. Precise connection details are available, so just mail me, Alan ALT3,
or Leon ALT2016
REMEMBER!! No special software is required for multiplayer sessions, just the ability to
control your aircraft, and follow simple ATC rules, so why not give it a try,
most flights give you the opportunity to connect later, or leave early along the
route, so, MAIL ME FOR CONNECTION DETAILS!
Friday evening On-line flights. 1900Z
This weeks flight took us from EGCC to EGPF Glasgow and the return. Wall to wall
ATC and loads of traffic made it a 'real' experience.
These flights are made on Vatsim, and are strictly IFR.
